Dál Riata (Dawl Ree-uh-tuh) – An area claimed by Gaelic Clans that became known as Scotti territory in ancient times of the many Celtic tribes of Albion; it once comprised the northeastern part of Ulaidia in Erin and the northwestern part of what is now Scotland, then known as Argyll; ruled by King Fergus.
