Connall Cas Ciabhach (Kun-uhl Kahs Kee-uh-vakh) – Chief of Dun Gaillimhe and supporter of Breanna; his second is Eóghan Mac Cathal (Oh-in mahk Kah-hal); his Connachta Provincial King is Dauthí Mac Fiachrach (Daw-hee Fee-uh-khrahkh).
Corbmac (Korb-mak) – Commander of the fians in central and southern Mide; fían-ceannard (fee-un kyan-ard) in Gaelic.
Cilla Ban Calla – Daughter of Calla, Dun Arrogh’s cook; Warrior of Destiny, Archer, second under Toal and his mate; bears the sigil Lugh gifted to Toal, allowing her to see distances as calculations.
Claimh Solais (Kly-vuh Soh-lish) – One of the Four Treasures or Jewels brought to Erin by Dagda and Danu and wielded initially by the Sun God, Lugh; it was gifted to Nuada of the Silver Hand, one-time King of the Tuatha; once unsheathed, no enemy could resist the Sword of Light or escape from its path.
Celts (Kelts) – Celtic tribal people who once occupied a significant part of Europe and the northern Isles; those from southwest France and northeast Spain, specifically those from Galicia, were considered the ancestors of the Gaelic.
Caoránac (Kwur-awn-akh) – The Great Wyrm of Erin, mother of Afanc (Ah-vank), Great Wyrm of Cymru.
Cairbre (Car-bree) – Chief of Dun Arrogh, mated with Aife and Eoin’s father.
Breitheamh (Breh-huv) – Judicial sect of the Aos Dána that acts as judges, lawmakers, interpreters, and negotiators.
Breanna Ban Morna (Bree-an-na Bawn Mor-na) – Initially a Red Branch warrior from Dun Arrogh who is of Clan Dálaigh (Daw-lee) and the daughter of Morna and Nevan, with her actual father being Hakon Skadi. The Heart of Destiny chooses her to be Erin’s Hero, and in wielding the Triple Dàn magic, she masters the Cycle of Time to become the first Tuatha Time-Walker.
Bradaigh (Brad-ee) – One-time bastard son of Hakon Skadi; now Gaelic Warrior of Destiny who joins Breanna’s Band.
Braoin (Breen) – One-time bastard son of Hakon Skadi; now Gaelic Warrior of Destiny who joins Breanna’s Band.
Bláth (Blaw) – An Air Elemental Druid and Master Bard of Dun Uisneach; Bards were a sect of Druids known as Filídh in Gaelic.
Beatha (Bay-uh) – A Fire Elemental Druid Seeress, called a Fáidh, at Dun Arrogh, one of the Aos Dána.
Aos Dána (Ays Dawn-ah) – Led by All-Father, wise ones of the Celts known as Druids collectively and Druí individually; comprised of multiple sects (Bards, Healers, Lawgivers, Seers, Teachers, and Warriors), each wielding Tuatha powers such as the sight and void, with others controlling one or more of the five Elements.
Artur Pendragon (Ar-tur) – Wielder of the magical blade Caledfwich, Co-Guardian of Pretannia with Breanna, master of the Great Wyrm Afanc; his faithful friend, Lanslod, travels with Artur through time.
Ard-Rì (Ard-ree) – The High King of Ireland, the Chieftain to whom all Clan Chiefs swear allegiance.
Badb Catha (Biv Kah-ha) – Goddess of Death and Knowledge, commonly called Goddess of War, and The Mórrigan, often taking the form of a battle crow on the earthly plane.
Bean-Sidhe (Ban-shee) – Sidhe women who are young and beautiful and wail or keen over the dead or those soon to be so; often referred to as harbingers of death; another name for similar fairies is Sìthiche (Shee-uh-khe), who can be both benevolent and malevolent; note the Irish and Scottish Gaels spell the word for fairies differently, with it being Sidhe and Sìth, respectively.
Aife (Ee-fa) – Mate of Dun Arrogh Chief Cairbre, a Princess of the Blood from Dál nAraidi, and Eoin’s mother.
