Who is Odin in Norse mythology?

Odin is the All-Father of the Æsir and ruler of Asgard. He is a god of wisdom, war, sacrifice, prophecy, and kingship who seeks knowledge at great personal cost in order to delay or shape the collapse foretold as Ragnarök.
